The islands of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina form and archipelago that includes outer cays, reefs, atolls and sand banks and politically is a department (state) that bears the same names as the main 3 islands. The archipelago is located approximately 750 km. north of the Colombian mainland and its official languages are Spanish, English and local Creole.
San Andres is the biggest island in Colombia and capital of the department. It is has a long tradition in tourism and offer a wide variety of services and activities.
