Peru has some of the best hiking at the Andes with a great variety of trails and landscapes. The main trekking centers are Cuzco and Arequipa in the south and Huaraz in the north. Around Cusco there are many accessible trails around the archaeological ruins. Peru’s most famous trek is the amazing Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, which must be booked in advance due to limited permits. Andes World Travel offers some of the most popular treks, and also several “off the beaten track” treks such as to the Cañon del Colca.
